Overview

We are seeking a Senior Instrument Designer Contractor for a 12-month engagement, focusing on delivering tailored asset management solutions for the energy sector. The contractor will collaborate closely with various project teams to provide technical design expertise, ensuring the integrity of design modifications and compliance with industry standards. This role is ideal for individuals with extensive experience in instrumentation design working in energy asset management environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide design input to project work scopes and cost estimates.
  • Specify modifications to existing equipment and recommend new equipment purchases.
  • Resolve technical queries and ensure changes are documented through the change control process.
  • Conduct site surveys for offshore and onshore assets.
  • Produce calculations and participate in design reviews.
  • Deliver engineering documentation including diagrams and design layouts.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality policies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Instrument Designer in the energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of DCS, ESD, F&G, and metering systems.
  • Experience with field instrumentation including pressure, level, temperature, and flow measurements.
  • Familiarity with industrial networking and communication standards.
  • Ability to produce engineering documentation and detailed technical drawings.
  • Understanding of health, safety, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
