The Senior Instrument Engineer will work as a contractor for a 12-month period, providing essential engineering support for project scopes, contributing to progress and planning meetings, and ensuring technical compliance with industry standards. They will collaborate with various teams to specify modifications to existing instrumentation and equipment, conduct site surveys, and produce relevant documentation and calculations. This role is focused on delivering effective and efficient asset management solutions in energy operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering input to project work estimates.
  • Contribute to progress and planning meetings as a technical advisor.
  • Specify modifications to instrumentation and equipment, including DCS and safety systems.
  • Conduct site surveys for both offshore and onshore assets.
  • Produce necessary calculations and participate in design reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering procedures and industry standards.
  • Check and approve discipline documentation and ensure interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Deliver technical support ensuring safety case requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Instrument Engineer in the energy sector.
  • Familiarity with DCS, ESD, F&G and metering systems.
  • Experience in producing design deliverables and technical documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes and safety standards.
  • Ability to conduct site surveys and produce accurate calculations.
  • Proficient with industrial networking and communications.
  • Experience with change control processes and project management.
