Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex IT projects within a prestigious luxury automotive manufacturer. This hybrid role will involve engaging with various stakeholders, from Board-level executives to technical teams, ensuring the successful delivery of projects through structured governance frameworks. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive experience in project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 and Waterfall to navigate the traditional project delivery environment effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple concurrent IT projects from initiation through to successful delivery.
- Manage projects across software development, infrastructure, business systems and enterprise applications.
- Build and maintain project plans, budgets, schedules and resource requirements.
- Apply robust governance, risk, issue and dependency management processes.
- Facilitate steering committees, stage-gate reviews and executive reporting.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including Board-level executives.
- Work closely with business, technical and third-party teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Drive project closure activities, lessons learned and operational handovers.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior IT Project Manager delivering complex IT projects within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
- Strong experience delivering projects using PRINCE2 and Waterfall methodologies.
- Ability to confidently explain and manage a complete Waterfall project lifecycle, including governance and stage-gate controls.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging at executive and Board level.
- Strong commercial awareness and political astuteness.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.
- Desirable: Experience delivering SAP or ERP projects.
- Desirable: ITIL awareness.
