Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architecture for a contract position. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and lead the delivery of feature development from design through deployment. This role presents opportunities to enhance front-end capabilities, making experience with Angular and TypeScript highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Review and refine user stories and technical requirements with stakeholders.
- Deliver feature development independently from design to deployment.
- Develop and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Implement REST APIs and database integrations with PostgreSQL or similar technologies.
- Support UI development using Angular and TypeScript as needed.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins and Docker.
- Collaborate with business analysts and testers throughout the development lifecycle.
- Utilize agile methodologies to drive project success.
Requirements
- 8+ years of Java development experience with proficiency in Java 17+.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with REST API development and PostgreSQL or similar databases.
- Familiarity with Docker, AWS services, and Jenkins for CI/CD.
- Proficiency in automated testing frameworks such as JUnit.
- Experience working within agile teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs.
- Experience with Git version control and Jira/Confluence for project management.
