Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join our team for an initial 3-month contract. In this critical role, the contractor will support and maintain our infrastructure estate, ensuring secure and high-performing network and cloud services. The successful candidate will work closely with local teams and third-party suppliers to deliver effective solutions and improvements across various technologies including Cisco, Microsoft Azure, and Zscaler.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level 2nd line support for infrastructure and network incidents across multiple sites.
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize infrastructure performance through thorough health checks and patching.
- Administer and support Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services.
- Troubleshoot and support enterprise networking, including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi services.
- Participate in major incident management and lead resolution activities.
- Support infrastructure and cloud transformation initiatives through technical expertise.
- Contribute to service management processes aligned with ITIL standards.
- Assist in the implementation of new monitoring tools and automation capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supporting Cisco and HP network infrastructures.
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and related cloud services.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, firewalls, and remote access technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL service management processes.
- Experience in incident management and proactive service improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and third-party vendors.
- Understanding of security governance and compliance within cloud environments.
- Willingness to participate in on-call support rotation as required.
