Overview
The Senior Network Engineer will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and supporting advanced network architectures within an engineering laboratory environment. This role requires a security-cleared individual to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the delivery of high-performing network solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Lead Systems Engineer to configure and enhance network infrastructures for various projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop network architectures for engineering laboratory environments.
- Configure networked systems according to technical specifications.
- Maintain and enhance laboratory network infrastructure.
- Support network deployment, testing, and troubleshooting during site trials.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver secure network solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of network performance and resilience.
Requirements
- Must hold current SC (Security Clearance) status.
- Experience with Time Sensitive Networking (TSN).
- Strong understanding of the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) Model.
- Good knowledge of IPv4 addressing and subnetting.
- Experience in configuring and managing VLANs.
- Familiarity with network implementation and deployment practices.
- Experience in designing and supporting network architectures.
- Understanding of NETCONF and network automation principles.
