Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join a growing technology team on an onsite contract basis. In this role, the successful candidate will take ownership of network architecture, design, implementation, and optimization across complex enterprise environments. The Senior Network Engineer will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives while supporting and mentoring technical team members.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network architectures including LAN, WAN, and cloud-based environments.
- Evaluate, recommend, and deploy network infrastructure technologies such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Lead network transformation and enhancement projects across multiple environments.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance, capacity, and resilience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity issues.
- Implement and maintain network monitoring, management, and security solutions.
- Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders on network strategy.
- Stay current with emerging networking technologies to recommend improvements.
Requirements
- 8–15 years of experience in enterprise networking, data center, or infrastructure environments.
- Strong experience with VPN technologies and secure remote connectivity solutions.
- Expertise in network security technologies including firewalls, DDoS protection, and multi-factor authentication.
- Advanced knowledge of IP networking and routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise routing and switching platforms.
- CCNA / CCNP or equivalent networking certifications are desired.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to mentor and support technical teams.
