Overview
This contract role for a Senior Network Engineer is focused on a significant infrastructure transformation program, involving hands-on network migration and the decommissioning of legacy systems. The successful contractor will collaborate closely with project teams to ensure a smooth transition of services to the client's datacentre estate, while performing both planned and reactive network changes as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform network migration and transformation activities.
- Decommission legacy network infrastructure.
- Support the migration of services to customer-owned infrastructure.
- Implement, configure, and troubleshoot network systems.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, server, and project teams.
- Assist with planned and out-of-hours network changes when necessary.
Requirements
- Demonstrate strong experience with Aruba networking solutions.
- Possess knowledge of Cisco switching and routing protocols.
- Experience with HP networking infrastructure is required.
- Have a background in enterprise network migration and decommissioning.
- Proficient in LAN/WAN troubleshooting and implementation.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments is essential.
- Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
