Overview
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support advanced network architectures within a cutting-edge engineering laboratory environment. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams and is essential for maintaining robust network solutions that enhance laboratory infrastructure and development activities. The successful candidate will be pivotal in delivering secure and reliable network solutions while driving continuous improvements in network performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop network architectures to support engineering laboratory environments.
- Configure networked systems according to technical requirements from the Lead Systems Engineer.
- Maintain and enhance laboratory network infrastructure and development environments.
- Support network deployment, testing, and troubleshooting during site trials and demonstrations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing network solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of network performance, resilience, and maintainability.
Requirements
- Security cleared (SC) status is essential.
- Strong understanding of network engineering principles.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise network solutions.
- Knowledge of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Model.
- Familiarity with Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) and IPv4 addressing.
- Experience with Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) configuration and management.
- Understanding of NETCONF and network automation principles.
- Knowledge of network security principles and technologies in safety-critical environments.
