Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team in a Principal Capacity, focusing on the design, implementation, and support of advanced network architectures in a high-tech engineering laboratory. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust network solutions while enhancing laboratory infrastructure and supporting innovative project activities. Success in this position requires a strong understanding of network engineering principles and relevant experience in enterprise network solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop network architectures to support engineering laboratory environments.
- Configure networked systems according to technical requirements provided by the Lead Systems Engineer.
- Maintain and enhance laboratory network infrastructure and development environments.
- Support network deployment, testing, and troubleshooting during site trials and demonstrations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing network solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in network performance, resilience, and maintainability.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing enterprise network solutions.
- Strong understanding of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Model.
- Proficient in IPv4 addressing and subnetting.
- Experience configuring and managing Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs).
- Knowledge of network implementation and deployment practices.
- Familiarity with NETCONF and network automation principles.
- Understanding of network security principles and technologies.
- Experience in safety-critical network environments and Time Sensitive Networking (TSN).
