Senior Node Engineer

Overview

The Senior Node Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend applications using Node.js and Typescript within a leading hospitality company. Working in a hybrid model, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to leverage cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud Platform, to enhance application functionality and performance. This role focuses on ensuring code quality and implementing scalable microservices solutions to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend applications using Node.js and Typescript.
• Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate serverless architecture on Google Cloud Platform.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Optimize microservices for performance and security.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and decisions.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Node.js and Typescript.
• Strong understanding of Google Cloud, particularly Cloud Run and Cloud Functions.
• Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform is a plus).
