Overview
We are looking for a Senior Observability Engineer to enhance our Dynatrace Observability Practice, focusing on the design and deployment of the Dynatrace platform. In this client-facing role, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end observability solutions while mentoring junior consultants and serving as a key technical contact for customer stakeholders. This remote position requires active SC clearance, and you will play a crucial role in shaping observability solutions for our UK clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of observability solutions, producing necessary design documentation.
- Own the deployment of the Dynatrace platform, including OneAgent, ActiveGate, and OpenTelemetry configurations.
- Design and configure observability dashboards, alerting profiles, and monitoring processes.
- Implement log management and custom event modeling for comprehensive observability functionalities.
- Automate and integrate using the Dynatrace API and ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
- Act as the technical lead on client engagements, facilitating workshops and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Support ongoing operations and health of deployed environments, contributing to observability support services.
- Mentor junior consultants and deliver training sessions to customer teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in observability, monitoring, or application performance management.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with the Dynatrace platform.
- Proficient in producing observability architecture and technical implementation documentation.
- Strong knowledge of the Dynatrace API and its automation capabilities.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and container orchestration technologies.
- Familiar with ITSM tools, particularly ServiceNow, for incident and problem management.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and scripting for automation purposes.
- Possession of at least one relevant Dynatrace certification, preferably at a professional level.
