Overview
The Senior Platform Engineer will be responsible for developing and engineering AI-related platforms, particularly in relation to proof-of-concept workflows that demonstrate the capabilities of specific MCP technologies. Collaborating with a leading consultancy, the contractor will leverage a polyglot development background to implement solutions using various programming languages and cloud platforms. The role requires working in a hybrid setup, spending two days a week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Develop proof-of-concept workflows to showcase MCP platform capabilities.
- Utilize programming languages such as TypeScript, Java, Golang, Python, and Scala to build and enhance platform functionalities.
- Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, EKS, and GKE.
- Collaborate with team members to leverage AI technologies effectively.
- Conduct technical assessments and oversee deployment processes.
- Participate in design discussions, contributing a polyglot development perspective.
- Ensure compliance with best practices in platform engineering and development.
Requirements
- Proficient in at least two programming languages: TypeScript, Java, Golang, Python, or Scala.
- Experience with cloud infrastructures, particularly AWS or GCP.
- Strong foundation in container orchestration using Kubernetes and related technologies.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Background in developing AI-related technologies, particularly with OpenAI Builders and MCP servers.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment.
