Overview

The Senior Product Analyst will play a crucial role in transforming the underwriting technology landscape for a leading London Market insurer. Working collaboratively with underwriting, operations, and technology teams, the analyst will design and deliver digital capabilities that improve the end-to-end policy lifecycle. This position offers an opportunity to influence product strategy and enhance the underwriting processes across the London Market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery activities to identify business challenges and define innovative product solutions.
  • Partner with various teams to ensure products align with business priorities and user needs.
  • Support the development of the product roadmap by evaluating business value and implementation complexity.
  • Facilitate workshops and interviews to validate requirements and build consensus across business areas.
  • Produce high-quality artefacts, including user journeys and business cases, to support delivery.
  • Refine backlogs and prioritize initiatives in collaboration with Product Owners and Agile teams.
  • Assess platform capabilities and integration requirements with technical teams and vendors.
  • Define and monitor success measures post-implementation to ensure business benefits are achieved.

Requirements

  • Strong experience as a Product Analyst or in a similar role within the London Market insurance sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of underwriting processes, including policy administration and renewals.
  • Hands-on experience with Policy Administration Systems (PAS) and underwriting platforms.
  • Proven ability to translate complex operational requirements into practical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and backlog management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, SQL, or data analysis is advantageous.
