Overview
As a Senior Project Manager in the renewable energy sector, you will be instrumental in the delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects across the UK. You will manage the projects throughout the entire lifecycle, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and maintaining key stakeholder relationships to ensure successful completion on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects from pre-construction to final handover.
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams, including Engineering, Construction, and HSEQ functions.
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements, engineering standards, and contractual obligations.
- Oversee project planning, procurement, and risk management processes.
- Conduct project progress meetings and provide updates on performance and milestones.
- Identify and resolve technical and commercial issues to support project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors across project lifecycles.
- Collaborate with construction and commissioning teams for smooth project transitions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in utility-scale Solar PV and/or BESS projects.
- Demonstrable track record of managing projects through the full lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of project delivery processes, including design coordination and procurement.
- Experience managing project budgets, programmes, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with grid connection processes and DNO interfaces.
- Knowledge of NEC and/or FIDIC contracts is desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in complex project environments.
