Overview
The Senior Project Manager will lead a high-profile technology transformation programme focused on the separation of services during a critical carve-out phase. They will play a pivotal role in ensuring successful delivery by collaborating with internal teams and third-party service integrators, managing risks, and maintaining project momentum. This position calls for a proactive leader with a robust background in M&A processes and server migration projects, tasked with steering the team through complexities while engaging effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of server and network migration activities, ensuring they align with project goals.
- Collaborate with third-party service integrators to ensure accountability and efficient communication.
- Maintain project governance, managing risk and any escalations that arise throughout the programme.
- Directly engage with the Separation Director and internal teams to facilitate seamless project integration.
- Contribute to the management of Transitional Service Agreements and related timelines.
- Influence stakeholders effectively to drive project delivery without direct authority.
- Translate technical complexities into understandable concepts for various stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and ambiguity by fostering a focused project environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale server and network migration programmes.
- Demonstrable M&A separation or divestment experience, particularly with ongoing projects.
- Hands-on management experience with Transitional Service Agreements, including negotiation skills.
- Strong ability to hold third-party SIs accountable within collaborative frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Solid understanding of server migration and Active Directory environments.
- Technical literacy to critically engage with project architects and engineers.
- Familiarity with ITIL change management principles and operational readiness processes.
