Overview
The Senior Project Manager will lead the outsourcing and transformation of the Service Desk function while facilitating the transition to a new Cloud Support Partner as part of a broader cloud and data centre exit strategy. This role will involve extensive collaboration with senior technology leaders and executive stakeholders, focusing on programme governance, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation throughout the transition process.
Responsibilities
- Lead the transition of the Service Desk to a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
- Drive service desk transformation initiatives, including automation and digital improvements.
- Manage the selection and mobilisation of a Cloud Support Partner.
- Oversee on-premise to Azure cloud migration activities, identifying risks and operational impacts.
- Provide programme governance, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
- Engage with senior technology leaders and executive stakeholders for successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in outsourcing a Service Desk or End User Support to an MSP.
- Strong programme management experience in large-scale IT transformation environments.
- Experience with on-premise to Azure cloud migration and transformation programmes.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder and supplier management.
- Ability to operate confidently with technical teams and C-suite executives.
- Desirable experience with offshore service providers, especially in India.
- Background in ServiceNow and digital workplace transformation.
