Overview
We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join a dynamic technology team within a leading commodities trading firm. In this role, you will engage in the design and development of a cloud-native risk platform that enhances trading and front-office operations. You will collaborate closely with traders, quants, and other technology professionals to deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance systems in Python, incorporating some C++ components.
- Contribute to a greenfield cloud-native risk platform across multiple trading products.
- Collaborate with front-office stakeholders on commodity risk and pricing models.
- Drive best practices in software engineering, architecture, and deployment.
- Take ownership of key workstreams, delivering solutions end-to-end.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including trading, risk, and quant units.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Python development.
- Solid understanding of commodity trading and risk management.
- Experience working with pricing models or risk systems.
- Proven ability to work as a self-starter in fast-paced environments.
- Strong technical mindset with a focus on clean and scalable design.
- Exposure to C++ is desirable.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and modern data pipelines.
