Overview
The Senior Software Engineer will play a critical role in developing the next generation of trading infrastructure for the commodities market, working within a dynamic and agile engineering team. This hands-on position emphasizes end-to-end project ownership, focusing on building and enhancing a cloud-native execution and order management system (EMS/OMS) tightly integrated with risk and market data systems. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including traders and quants, to ensure high-performance solutions within a fast-paced trading environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and build core components of a modern EMS/OMS platform, including order routing and execution analytics.
- Implement and maintain FIX protocol and venue-specific integrations with exchanges and brokers.
- Develop low-latency, distributed execution services with emphasis on performance and resilience.
- Collaborate closely with traders and risk engineers to translate workflows into production systems.
- Ensure seamless integration with risk systems for pre-trade checks and post-trade processing.
Requirements
- Proven experience building execution systems or order management systems in production.
- Strong systems engineering principles, particularly in concurrency and distributed systems.
- Production experience in C++, Rust, or Python, with flexibility in using multiple languages.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver production-ready systems with a user-focused approach.
- Experience in cloud-native environments, specifically with Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with distributed data and event-driven systems like Kafka.
- Experience with systems observability, monitoring, and incident response.
