Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a distributed development team on a contract basis, focusing on an exciting project in the Media sector. The successful candidate will work remotely, collaborating closely with team members and clients, while managing the full software development lifecycle from design to coding and testing.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software solutions to meet project requirements.
- Create and manage structured Jira tickets for work scoping.
- Conduct code reviews and validate code quality through testing.
- Engage in daily client communications with a consultative approach.
- Participate in sprint planning and estimation sessions.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation using Confluence.
- Actively take part in scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups and retrospectives.
- Support and mentor team members as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a software engineer with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with Java, TypeScript, React, and Python.
- Experience with AWS and OpenSearch technologies.
- Ability to engage with clients in a friendly and collaborative manner.
- Exposure to AI and prompt engineering techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of traditional machine learning techniques is desirable.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.
