Overview
The Senior Software Engineer will join a team focused on developing high-performance backend platforms for a technology company. Responsibilities
- Design and build production Python backend services using FastAPI.
- Develop scalable REST APIs and distributed backend systems.
- Work with event-driven architectures utilizing technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Improve performance, reliability, and maintainability of existing services.
- Collaborate with experienced backend engineers on architecture and code quality.
- Write clean, well-tested Python code following modern engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong commercial Python development experience.
- Commercial experience with FastAPI or extensive modern Python API development.
- Experience designing and maintaining production REST APIs.
- Background working with microservices and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Solid SQL/database knowledge.
- Experience with Pytest and automated testing.
- Comfortable debugging and improving existing production code.
