Overview
We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to join a dynamic Technology team on a contract basis. In this role, you will spearhead the delivery of complex infrastructure and technology projects, working closely with technology teams, business stakeholders, and third-party suppliers. The primary focus will be on ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality project execution within a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Technology Infrastructure projects through structured project plans and governance processes.
- Manage multiple concurrent technical projects, ensuring delivery against scope, timelines, budget and quality standards.
- Produce and maintain project plans, RAID logs, documentation and stakeholder reporting.
- Work closely with infrastructure teams, technical specialists and third-party suppliers to manage delivery and dependencies.
- Facilitate project meetings, track progress and provide clear updates to senior technology stakeholders.
- Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues and dependencies.
- Define acceptance criteria and delivery outcomes with stakeholders.
- Support improvements to project governance, methodologies and best practices across Technology Delivery.
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience as a Technical Project Manager, with a focus on infrastructure technology projects.
- Proven experience delivering complex technical projects in fast-paced technology environments.
- Strong background in infrastructure upgrades, technology refresh programmes, and connectivity implementations.
- Experience managing projects with budgets ranging from £100k to £1m+.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across technical and operational teams.
- Solid experience in producing structured project documentation and governance materials.
- PRINCE2 or PMBOK qualification desirable.
- Strong technical infrastructure knowledge with a proven track record in delivery.
