Overview
The Senior UI/UX Designer will play a crucial role in enhancing user interfaces for an existing client product that is undergoing a refresh. The position involves creating practical, clear designs that consider usability and clarity within a technical environment. The designer will collaborate closely with stakeholders and development teams to produce actionable interface designs that can be efficiently implemented, primarily focusing on prototype generation and documentation during the consultancy phase.
Responsibilities
- Design and improve user interface layouts and workflows.
- Produce wireframes, screen designs, and interface concepts.
- Define user journeys and interaction flows.
- Translate complex system functionality into clear, usable interfaces.
- Apply usability and accessibility best practices.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and constraints.
- Deliver design outputs suitable for development implementation.
- Iterate designs based on feedback and technical constraints.
Requirements
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in UX, Human Factors, Design, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in UI and interaction design, as well as UX design and user journey mapping.
- Proficiency in wireframing and interface layout design.
- Knowledge of usability principles and best practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and translate technical requirements into intuitive UI designs.
- Experience designing UI/UX for complex or technical systems.
- Familiarity with prototyping tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams to deliver implementable designs.
