Overview
The Service Architect will contribute to a high-impact NHS transformation programme by leading service architecture initiatives during the procurement and delivery phases. Working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, the contractor will shape and govern service solutions that encompass a range of operational and technological services, ensuring readiness and effectiveness in a complex, multi-supplier environment. This role involves significant strategic oversight, including chairing the Service Architecture Board and ensuring compliance with governance standards across various workstreams.
Responsibilities
- Support bid and tender activities to shape the service solution and operating model.
- Define the target operating model and service management framework.
- Lead Service Architecture across all programme workstreams.
- Chair the Service Architecture Board, ensuring effective governance across service standards.
- Design and govern ITSM and Enterprise Service Management capabilities.
- Define SIAM and multi-supplier operating models.
- Develop service schedules, SLAs, OLAs and supplier performance frameworks.
- Ensure operational readiness and that service acceptance requirements are satisfactorily met.
Requirements
- Significant Service Architecture experience within complex transformation programmes.
- Deep understanding of ITIL, ITSM, and Enterprise Service Management.
- Experience designing and governing services in multi-supplier environments.
- Knowledge of SIAM practices.
- Experience managing service-related contractual obligations and service levels.
- Familiarity with GDPR, information governance, security, and operational resilience.
- Experience in highly regulated environments, with strong governance and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Highly desirable experience with NHS England, NHS Digital, or within healthcare transformation initiatives.
