Overview
The Service Delivery Manager for this hybrid role will oversee a portfolio of application management services within the financial sector, focusing on large enterprise customers. They will manage customer relationships and ensure the successful delivery of programmes, while identifying new business opportunities for account growth. This position is suited for seasoned professionals who excel in complex enterprise environments and can lead large teams and significant programmes effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer relationships across a portfolio of application management services.
- Own the full opportunity lifecycle from prospect through to proposal, negotiation, and closure.
- Identify new business opportunities and support account growth activities.
- Conduct client presentations, competitor analysis, and estimation activities.
- Provide delivery assurance and ensure commitments are met across all programmes.
- Lead governance and programme performance reviews.
- Manage incident, change, and problem management activities.
- Oversee third-party suppliers to achieve successful service delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years' experience in delivery or programme management.
- Proven experience managing complex programmes valued at GBP10m+ with teams of 100+ personnel.
- Experience delivering both application and infrastructure programmes.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Experience within financial services or banking environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and customer engagement skills.
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Proven track record in driving growth and managing programme controls.
