Overview
As a Service Designer, you will contribute to a public sector discovery project for a consultancy by utilizing your expertise in user research and service design. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to map customer journeys, design service blueprints, and prototype solutions. This role requires hands-on engagement in co-creation workshops and the iterative development of service strategies based on research insights.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user and stakeholder research to understand needs and behaviors.
- Map end-to-end customer journeys to identify pain points and improvement opportunities.
- Design service blueprints that detail service processes and interactions.
- Facilitate co-creation workshops and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Prototype services and validate them through user testing and feedback analysis.
- Develop and iterate service concepts and strategies based on research insights.
- Document and update service standards, requirements, and operating models.
- Work in agile, multi-functional teams alongside interaction designers, content designers, user researchers, and wider product and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Experience working on service standard assessed UK public sector projects.
- Proven track record in conducting user and stakeholder research.
- Strong skills in mapping customer journeys and identifying service improvement opportunities.
- Ability to create detailed service blueprints and facilitate workshops.
- Experience in prototyping and validating service designs.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in multidisciplinary teams.
- UK-based candidates with full right to work are preferred.
- Relevant experience in developing and documenting service standards and operating models.
