Overview

The contractor will serve as a ServiceNow Designer within a telecoms client’s team, focusing on the implementation, administration, and enhancement of the ServiceNow platform. This hybrid role requires collaboration with stakeholders to deliver technical solutions, improve existing systems, and support the rollout of new applications and modules. The position necessitates effective communication and problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to ServiceNow best practices and ITIL principles.

Responsibilities

  • Implement ServiceNow modules and perform platform administration and support.
  • Conduct design, development, and enhancements for the ServiceNow instance.
  • Facilitate the rollout of new applications and modules within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions as an advisor to clients.
  • Ensure tool configuration consistency across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Analyze issues, estimate efforts, and propose solutions or prototypes.
  • Assist with ServiceNow upgrade administration to leverage latest releases.
  • Manage project timelines and assist junior analysts through project lifecycles.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with ServiceNow and its glide objects (e.g., GlideRecords, GlideSystem).
  • Strong functional and technical knowledge of ServiceNow navigation, administration, and configuration.
  • Experience with system integration using web services and technologies (XML, HTML, AJAX, etc.).
  • Understanding of ITIL concepts and IT Service Management practices (ITIL v3 certification preferred).
  • Experience in Agile software development methodologies, particularly SCRUM.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proven experience implementing ITSM tools and knowledge of ITIL process areas.
  • Effective communication skills and strong attention to detail in problem-solving.
