Overview
We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise Microsoft 365 information management solutions in a strategic contract setting. The successful candidate will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and compliant SharePoint Online architecture, focusing on governance and modern document management. This remote role allows for occasional travel to engage with teams as needed, with a contract duration of six months.
Responsibilities
- Design enterprise SharePoint Online architecture.
- Define Microsoft 365 governance and information management strategies.
- Design metadata, taxonomy, and content models.
- Implement retention, sensitivity, and lifecycle policies.
- Architect SharePoint security and permissions.
- Establish governance across SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Produce architecture documentation and implementation roadmaps.
- Engage with business and technical stakeholders throughout delivery.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with enterprise SharePoint Online architecture.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 information governance, including Microsoft Purview.
- Familiarity with retention and sensitivity labels, eDiscovery, and legal hold.
- Knowledge of SharePoint security and permissions management.
- Experience in metadata and content type modeling.
- Strong understanding of enterprise document management and governance for Teams and OneDrive.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Desirable experience with Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform, and SharePoint migration tools.
