Overview
The SharePoint Migration Specialist will be responsible for facilitating the migration of users from on-premises SharePoint environments to cloud-based SharePoint services for a finance client. This role involves collaborating with a small team to ensure the migration process is efficient and adheres to best practices in SharePoint architecture and administration.
Responsibilities
- Manage the migration of users from on-premises SharePoint to SharePoint Online.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute migration tasks.
- Administer and configure SharePoint environments, ensuring alignment with governance policies.
- Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting during the migration process.
- Provide insights on SharePoint Online architecture and best practices to team members.
- Conduct necessary testing and validation of the migrated solutions.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint On-Prem (2016/2019) architecture and administration.
- Proven track record of successful SharePoint Online migrations.
- Advanced understanding of M365 / SharePoint Online architecture and admin centers.
- Familiarity with SharePoint permissions and governance.
- Experience in using PowerShell for automation and reporting purposes.
