Overview
The SharePoint Migration Specialist will work with a finance client on a 6-month contract to facilitate the migration of users from on-premises SharePoint services to cloud-based solutions. Collaborating with a small team, the specialist will leverage their expertise in SharePoint architecture and administration to ensure a smooth transition and implement best practices for cloud governance and permissions management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user migrations from on-premises SharePoint to cloud-based SharePoint services.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute the migration strategy.
- Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation and progress tracking during the migration.
- Manage permissions and governance for the new SharePoint Online environment.
- Provide technical support and training for users transitioning to cloud services.
- Implement best practices for SharePoint Online architecture and administration.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint On-Prem (2016/2019) architecture and administration.
- Proven track record of SharePoint Online migrations.
- Advanced understanding of M365 / SharePoint Online architecture and admin centres.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and migration preparation tasks.
