Overview
We are looking for an experienced Site Agent to join our delivery team on a major civil engineering infrastructure project. In this key leadership position, you will oversee site-level operations, ensuring that construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will work collaboratively with subcontractors and various teams, reporting on progress and managing project risks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and management in a client-facing capacity.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractor activities, conducting regular meetings.
- Report to senior leadership across multiple project and functional teams.
- Liaise with site teams to ensure smooth execution of works.
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities, maintaining a risk register.
- Review technical documentation and raise necessary queries.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
- Prepare and monitor detailed work schedules using scheduling tools.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ site experience in civil engineering, including 2 years in a Senior Engineer or Agent role.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary construction activities.
- Proficient in MS Office and general IT systems.
- Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Valid CSCS card.
- Experience with BIM / Digital tools (Autodesk, Bentley) is desirable.
- Project Management training (APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent) is preferred.
