Overview
We are looking for a skilled Site Reliability Engineer / DevOps Engineer to work on a fully remote contract basis, focusing on enhancing application and infrastructure performance for financial services. The contractor will be responsible for building migration pipelines, automating processes, and ensuring platform reliability, collaborating closely with engineering teams to implement best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and build robust migration pipelines for application and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
- Automate deployment, release, and operational processes to enhance efficiency.
- Provide hands-on support for application and infrastructure migration activities, minimizing disruption.
- Enhance platform reliability, scalability, and performance through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain runbooks, operational procedures, and documentation for incident response.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate DevOps and SRE best practices into the software delivery lifecycle.
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure system health.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration.
- Experience with Windows Server environments.
- Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
- Practical experience operating within AWS environments.
