Overview
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Platform Architect to support a major programme for a government client. This fully remote role involves designing and implementing a Snowflake platform and working closely with engineering teams to ensure a scalable, production-ready environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in platform architecture and be responsible for governance and best practices within the project.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive Snowflake platform from the ground up.
- Define platform architecture, governance, and establish best practices.
- Lead the introduction and adoption of Snowflake across the organization.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to facilitate a scalable, production-ready platform.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise data management strategies.
- Oversee platform security and compliance based on governance standards.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and standing up Snowflake platforms.
- Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture rather than data engineering.
- Experience in designing enterprise data platforms and establishing platform governance.
- Snowflake certifications or accreditation are highly desirable.
- Active SC Clearance is required for this role.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while coordinating with teams.
