Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Software Engineer to join a high-performing team in the National Security consultancy sector. In this hybrid role, the contractor will design and develop AI-enabled software systems while closely collaborating with data scientists and software engineers. The focus will be on creating scalable backend services and integrating machine learning models into production environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and build AI-enabled software systems for operational environments.
- Develop scalable backend services to support AI applications.
- Integrate machine learning models into production systems.
- Contribute to the architecture of secure, cloud-native platforms.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and security specialists to solve complex challenges.
- Implement and optimize software architecture and API design.
Requirements
- Active UKSV DV clearance is mandatory.
- Strong software engineering background with proficiency in Python.
- Experience in building and deploying AI and machine learning applications.
- Knowledge of large language models (LLMs), natural language processing (NLP), or generative AI frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Prior work in secure or highly regulated environments.
- Solid understanding of software architecture principles and API design.
