Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer with a strong emphasis on backend development and DevOps practices to support a prominent financial services organization in their new platform development. In this role, you will be integral to designing and building deployment pipelines, while also contributing to backend engineering and platform integration initiatives. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that the solutions developed are secure, scalable, and maintainable.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality backend code in line with engineering standards.
- Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines (Harness focus) for quick and secure delivery.
- Implement robust DevOps practices across the software development life cycle.
- Collaborate on delivering new platform features and capabilities.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, including root cause analysis.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, observable, and maintainable.
- Integrate with third-party systems in a resilient and secure manner.
- Write automated tests alongside development efforts.
Requirements
- Strong backend development experience.
- Proven commercial experience combining development and DevOps.
- Hands-on experience with Harness (highly desirable).
- Strong expertise in AWS.
- Proficiency in Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Harness and/or GitLab).
- Familiarity with version control using Git (GitHub / GitLab).
- Knowledge of observability tooling (Datadog, Grafana, etc.).
