Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Advanced Signal Processing and AI to join a dynamic engineering team. This role involves developing innovative software solutions for complex maritime and defense environments, collaborating closely with systems, algorithms, hardware, and verification engineers throughout the project lifecycle. Candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance and possess a strong background in software engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for advanced signal processing and sensor fusion applications.
- Implement and optimize production-quality software using C++ and Python.
- Develop software for sensor modeling, data processing, and anomaly detection.
- Apply software engineering best practices including automated testing and continuous integration.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the engineering lifecycle.
- Support software integration and system-level testing activities.
- Convert research concepts into scalable and robust software solutions.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation and verification artifacts.
Requirements
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong software development experience in C++ and Python.
- Experience with complex engineering or defence systems.
- Good understanding of software architecture and modern engineering practices.
- Familiarity with Linux-based development environments.
- Proficiency in Git and collaborative development tools.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and support verification activities.
