Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer specializing in Siemens TIA Portal for a three-month contract. The role focuses on developing and supporting PLC and HMI systems within manufacturing and industrial automation projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of automation solutions, contributing to high-quality system delivery and resolving technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop and program PLC systems using Siemens TIA Portal, focusing on S7-1200 and S7-1500 controllers.
- Create and modify HMI screens using WinCC to facilitate operator interaction and control.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and system commissioning activities.
- Diagnose and resolve system faults and troubleshoot automation issues efficiently.
- Configure and optimize industrial network protocols such as PROFINET and PROFIBUS for reliable communication.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of automation solutions.
- Document system configurations, programming logic, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and operational phases.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Siemens TIA Portal software and PLC programming.
- Hands-on experience with S7-1200 and S7-1500 controllers.
- Experience in WinCC HMI development.
- Knowledge of industrial network configurations such as PROFINET and PROFIBUS.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills in industrial systems.
- Previous experience supporting FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Relevant engineering or technical qualification in automation or a related field.
