Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contract Software Engineer, specializing in React, to join a dynamic digital consultancy for an initial 6-month engagement. In this role, you will collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to develop high-quality, scalable web applications across various industries. You will be involved in both greenfield projects and the enhancement of existing applications, ensuring modern development practices are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
- Build reusable, maintainable UI components.
- Enhance existing applications and contribute to greenfield development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn business requirements into technical solutions.
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices.
- Engage with clients and internal stakeholders as required.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with React.js.
- Proficient in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern front-end development practices.
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or Context API.
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
- Experience in Agile delivery teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
