Overview
We are seeking a Software Implementation Engineer to build, configure, and support in-store devices for our clients. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of the devices, automating deployments and updates, and ensuring the reliability and compliance of the systems. The engineer will collaborate with project teams and external suppliers to deliver effective technical solutions and will need to develop a deep understanding of various retail platforms.
Responsibilities
- Build and configure in-store devices for clients.
- Automate device deployments and updates using MECM and scripts.
- Ensure devices are secure, compliant, and reliable for users.
- Manage the full lifecycle of in-store technology solutions.
- Develop tools for technical teams, including batch files and Windows applications.
- Collaborate with support teams to resolve technical issues and escalate as needed.
- Act as a technical liaison between project teams and external suppliers.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (MECM).
- Experience with Visual Basic Script (VBS), PowerShell, and batch scripting.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Operating System and command line interface.
- Familiarity with SQL and Windows hardware driver technology.
- Understanding of Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).
- Experience with InstallShield and related software delivery mechanisms.
