Solution Architect

Overview

The Solution Architect will play a vital role in a major transformation programme for a large infrastructure client, focusing on shaping and delivering the technology architecture necessary for complex change. Working closely with technical, business, and delivery teams, this position requires effective communication and the ability to translate requirements into scalable solutions. The role is a contract position for a consultancy specializing in business and digital transformation, with potential for extension beyond the initial three-month period.

Responsibilities

• Define and shape the solution architecture for a large-scale infrastructure transformation programme.
• Collaborate with technical, business, and delivery teams to translate requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
• Support design decisions and delivery planning across complex technology and infrastructure workstreams.
• Ensure alignment of solution design with business objectives and technology standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect across large transformation programmes.
• Independent consultant with the ability to operate at pace and bring structure to ambiguity.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Consulting experience is preferred but not mandatory.
