Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect for a contract role that will last for at least 6 months. This hybrid position allows for three days in the office and two days of remote work, and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting a major transformation programme for a leading insurance provider, working collaboratively with various stakeholders throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Produce and oversee all architectural deliverables under the development methodology.
- Identify architectural, technical, and security risks, and work with stakeholders to resolve or escalate.
- Communicate architecture, divergences, and risks clearly to gain stakeholder alignment.
- Provide technical leadership to fellow solution architects.
- Deliver design assurance to ensure solutions comply with agreed standards and quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience architecting solutions across hybrid and on-prem cloud environments, integrating with legacy systems.
- Experience in architectural support/assurance for DevOps teams; Agile exposure is beneficial.
- Experience with technical selection, RFI/RFP processes, and third-party product supplier assurance.
- Strong background in enterprise architectural governance and portfolio management frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to clearly communicate architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Broad knowledge of IT technologies and architectural patterns such as event-driven, serverless, microservices, and SOA.
- Familiarity with the Open Agile Framework (Open.org) is beneficial but not essential.
