Overview
The Azure Solutions Data Architect will play a critical role in designing and delivering cloud-based solutions within a large-scale organizational environment. Working remotely, this position involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, as well as both technical and non-technical stakeholders, to establish scalable and resilient solutions that align with business outcomes and comply with security and best practice standards. The architect will leverage their expertise in Azure to guide cloud adoption and ensure that solution architectures meet organizational requirements and frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Review existing infrastructure and solution architecture and update related documentation and diagrams as necessary.
- Design high-level and detailed solution architectures in accordance with Azure Well-Architected Framework principles.
- Support engineering teams on modernization tasks and the development of Azure services.
- Build solution designs that fit the organization's strategic cloud roadmap.
- Ensure all documentation is reviewed and approved by the central data architecture team.
- Develop Cloud Architecture and Security plans that meet organizational standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in designing Azure solution architectures for both new and existing services.
- Solid understanding of cloud platform patterns and processes relevant to Azure.
- Experience supporting DevOps, Data, and Infrastructure Engineering teams.
- Ability to design, develop, and deploy Azure services including networking, compute, storage, and security.
- Proficient in verifying that solution designs meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Experience promoting infrastructure-as-code practices and improving cloud engineering processes.
