Overview
We are seeking an experienced SSRS Developer to join a Data Engineering team during a contract engagement in a hybrid work setting. In this role, you will enhance and maintain existing reports while supporting the migration of reporting workloads to Amazon Redshift. You will work closely with business stakeholders to deliver accurate and reliable reporting solutions that facilitate informed decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, enhance, and optimize existing SSRS reports.
- Troubleshoot report defects, performance issues, and data discrepancies.
- Manage report deployment, scheduling, and subscriptions within the SSRS environment.
- Work directly with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver solutions.
- Support the migration of reports and data sources from SQL Server to Amazon Redshift.
- Validate migrated reports to ensure consistency and data accuracy.
- Produce clear documentation around report changes, specifications, and migration activities.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Advanced T-SQL skills, including query development, optimization, stored procedures, and views.
- Experience gathering requirements from business users and translating them into reporting solutions.
- Solid understanding of report design, subscriptions, parameters, and reporting best practices.
- Experience supporting report deployment and troubleshooting within SQL Server environments.
