Overview
We are seeking a Storage Engineer to join a leading consultancy to assist with a block migration project. This remote position will involve occasional travel to London and focus on managing complex storage solutions and migrations efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Conduct block migration utilizing FC/iSCSI protocols and various tools like Cirrus DMS/CMC/CMO.
- Implement host-based LVM for storage management.
- Utilize VMware Storage vMotion and Hyper-V Manager for virtualization tasks.
- Execute file and NAS migrations using tools such as DataDobi, Komprise, and Parsec.
- Ensure data migration complies with ACLs for NFS v3/v4.1, SMB, and S3 standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience with block migration techniques and tools.
- Strong proficiency in FC/iSCSI and VMware Storage vMotion.
- Experience with file/NAS migration tools, including DataDobi and Komprise.
- Familiarity with host-based LVM and Hyper-V management solutions.
