Overview
A consulting partner is seeking an experienced Support Engineer to provide technical support and incident management for a high-profile financial services client. The role involves remote work primarily in the UK, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure the stability, security, and performance of critical systems across various environments including Linux, Windows, AWS, and Azure. The successful candidate will take ownership of complex technical issues, leading incident response initiatives and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
Responsibilities
- Support critical systems by providing technical assistance and troubleshooting.
- Lead incident response and manage system monitoring and maintenance.
- Take ownership of complex technical issues across Linux, Windows, and cloud environments.
- Liaise with key stakeholders and customers to build strong relationships.
- Utilize automation and scripting to enhance system processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical support or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
- Experience with AWS and Azure cloud services.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like New Relic or Kibana.
- Excellent troubleshooting and incident management skills.
- Exposure to CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, Terraform, or Ansible is a plus.
