Overview
A consulting partner is seeking an experienced Support Engineer to join a high-profile financial services client. The role focuses on supporting critical systems and providing technical support while troubleshooting, incident management, and system monitoring. The successful candidate will work mostly remote, coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure system stability and security.
Responsibilities
- Support critical systems by providing technical assistance and troubleshooting.
- Manage incidents and monitor performance across various environments.
- Take ownership of complex technical issues in Linux, Windows, and cloud environments.
- Liaise with key stakeholders and customers to maintain strong relationships.
- Ensure systems remain stable, secure, and performant.
- Utilize monitoring tools to identify and address system issues.
- Perform system maintenance and support operations as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical support or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments, as well as AWS and Azure.
- Experience in financial services or trading environments.
- Proficient in automation and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like New Relic or Kibana is preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting and incident management skills.
- (Bonus) Exposure to CI/CD practices, Docker/Kubernetes, Terraform, or Ansible is a plus.
