Overview
We are seeking a Sustainability Technical Project Manager on a 24-month contract to facilitate the execution of large-scale sustainability initiatives within a complex procurement environment. This role involves collaborating with senior stakeholders and procurement teams to enhance supply chain decarbonisation, compliance, and governance. The ideal candidate will leverage their project management expertise and practical knowledge of sustainability regulations to drive effective outcomes across various business functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver procurement sustainability projects from initiation through to completion.
- Support delivery of the procurement sustainability roadmap and associated operational actions.
- Manage project plans, timelines, risks, governance activities, and stakeholder reporting.
- Support supplier decarbonisation initiatives and sustainability improvement plans.
- Assist with the integration of sustainability into sourcing and supplier selection processes.
- Track supplier compliance evidence, audits, questionnaires, and corrective actions.
- Develop guidance, templates, and operational support documentation for buyers and suppliers.
- Produce sustainability KPI reporting relating to emissions, energy, waste, and water metrics.
Requirements
- Proven project management experience with a strong focus on delivery and operational execution.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams, risks, actions, and project timelines.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.
- Experience supporting sustainability or supply chain sustainability initiatives.
- Working knowledge of sustainability regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Understanding of Scope 3 emissions, carbon accounting, and decarbonisation principles.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and sustainability reporting methodologies.
- Degree qualified within Engineering, Sustainability, Supply Chain, or Business.
