Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Architect to support a consultancy engagement focused on the design and evolution of large-scale financial services platforms. The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering, product, and platform teams to create scalable and secure architectures while aligning technology strategies with business objectives in a hybrid or remote working environment.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable, resilient, and secure systems architectures across various financial services domains.
- Define target-state architecture, integration patterns, and technology roadmaps aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and platform teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
- Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance on system performance and scalability.
- Support the modernization of legacy platforms and adoption of microservices and API-first design principles.
- Work with senior stakeholders to align technology strategy with business growth and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Systems Architect in banking, fintech, or regulated financial services.
- Background in modern digital banking environments such as Monzo or Starling.
- Strong expertise in distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience in designing high-volume customer-facing platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
