Overview
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to contribute to systems engineering activities across various complex maritime, naval, and sonar systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, delivering, and integrating solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes. This hybrid position allows for flexible working arrangements across the UK and requires eligibility to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Plan, lead and deliver systems engineering activities across the full engineering lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain engineering strategies, plans, processes, and artifacts.
- Lead system integration activities, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Define verification methods, test cases, and compliance strategies.
- Capture, analyze and report engineering evidence from various activities.
- Support design reviews, customer acceptance events, and assurance activities.
- Identify and manage technical risks, issues, and non-conformances.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in systems engineering processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in systems engineering within defence, maritime, aerospace, or regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles across the full lifecycle.
- Experience in Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification (IVVQ) activities.
- Familiarity with engineering lifecycle and requirements management tools like DOORS or JIRA.
- Ability to analyze technical data and present findings to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Capability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
