Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect for a contract position focused on creating architecture patterns and infrastructure solution designs within a leading insurance firm. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to align technology with business strategies while ensuring security and service quality across all deliverables. The successful contractor will also contribute to technology governance and provide architectural assurance within a team of Technical Architects.
Responsibilities
- Produce architecture patterns and infrastructure solution designs with a focus on security and service quality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to align technology initiatives with business and IT strategies.
- Provide architectural assurance and quality check peer deliverables.
- Research emerging technologies and develop business cases for architectural approval.
- Guide implementation phases by collaborating with subject matter experts.
- Support technology governance across multiple domains.
- Work within a small team of Technical Architects, interfacing with Solution and Integration Architects.
Requirements
- Broad experience across enterprise technologies, with a history in multiple subject matter expert roles.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and technical SMEs.
- Proficient in translating business requirements into technology, security, and service deliverables.
- Solid understanding of security and risk identification and mitigation strategies.
- Experience in producing proposals and communicating technology strategy value to senior stakeholders.
- Background in designing and supporting mission-critical infrastructure solutions.
- Experience with large-scale public cloud implementations, especially Azure.
- Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies and CI/CD methods and tools is desirable.
